Gulfnews - In Tehran, members of Iran's Kocholoha (small ones) football team are not short of confidence in exhibiting their talent.

The Kocholoha Society, which was started two years ago, now has over 380 registered dwarf members.

The team, which began in 2009, is currently in negotiations to compete with their Brazilian counterparts.

The Iranian team members are among many sports hopefuls around the world who have not let height get in the way of their big dreams.

In New York, an all-dwarf basketball team, the New York Towers, is making headlines. The Towers' tallest player is just 4-foot-8.

The team's 3-foot, 3-inch general manager Clinton Brown had told reporters that the team are focused on excelling in the game.

"The concept itself is hard for some average-size people to think about – small people playing a big man's game," Brown said. "It just goes to show you that with a little bit of fortitude and heart you can accomplish what you desire."

The Towers are trying to start a national Little NBA, a league that could provide halftime shows at NBA games.
