AFC - Bahrain were denied victory in their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash with Iran on Friday when Mojtaba Jabari struck in second-half stoppage-time to salvage a point for the Group E frontrunners.

Having been hammered 6-0 by the Iranians in Tehran in their previous fixture, Bahrain were looking to not only get their Brazil 2014 campaign back on track but also to restore some footballing pride and they were on course for both objectives when Mahmood Al Ajami's strike on the stroke of half-time looked to be enough for the win.

However Esteghlal midfielder Jabari, who was on target in the one-sided triumph at the Azadi Stadium, broke the hearts of the Bahrain supporters with the equaliser three minutes into time added on to preserve Iran's unbeaten run in the third qualifying round.
