Osasuna lost to Barcelona 4-0 in first leg of Copa Del Rey round of 16 at the Nou Camp. The Pamplona-based team will host Barcelona in the second leg on Thursday.
“Honestly, playing with Barcelona is more difficult than playing with any other team and defeating them is almost impossible. They keep possession for very long ant it’s so difficult to beat them,” the 31-year-old said this week.
“Luck went against us since we drew with Barcelona in Copa Del Rey but it’s an honor for me facing a good team such a Barcelona. You should run and run when you play Barcelona. It’s not easy to play Barcelona,” Nekounam added.
“Osasuna has also lost to Real Madrid but playing against Barcelona is more difficult because they don’t give you any chance to score,” he stated.
Asked him if he would like to score against Barcelona as he has already scored against Real Madrid, Nekounam said, “I like to score against the big teams but my priority is winning,” he concluded.
