An early goal by Karim Benzema proved to be a huge setback for Osasuna, who conceded other first half goals by Christiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain.
Nino pulled a goal back for Osasuna shortly after the restart, but Ronaldo's deflected freekick - following a questionable foul call against Javad Nekounam - and Higuain's second of the day remained unresponded.
Osasuna's Lamah also received his marching orders in injury time.
Javad Nekounam had a rather quiet game in central defensive midfield. His best scene was a long shot which was well saved by Iker Cassillas.
Masoud Shojaei is still recovering from his fourth foot surgery following his inury almost a year ago and just recently started walking on clutches again. A return of the sizzling winger before next season therefore is rather unlikely.
