PFDC - ESFAHAN, A late goal from Bruno Cesar gave Sepahan Esfahan a well deserved 2-1 win over Qatar's Lekhwia on matchday 3 of Asian Champions League.

Sepahan took the lead 18 minutes into the game through Jalal Hosseini, who beat the goalkeeper with an effort from the edge of the area.

However, Lekhwia equalzed after 55 minutes, when Sepahan failed to clear a cross well and Rahman Ahmadi couldn't hold on to the following shot and Afif converted the rebound.

Sepahan looked slightly shocked and Lekhwia looked like getting the upper hand, however, Sepahan quickly recovered and showed excellend football, dominating the strong Qatar Stars League winners, however, failing to bring their domination onto the scoresheet.

However, this should change two minutes from time, when targetman Bruno Cesar headed a cross from Abdolhasan Jafari into the net to restore the lead.

Xhehavir Sukaj should have put the win beyond doubt in injury time, when after a counter attack skipper Moharram Navidkia excellently inscened the Albanian striker, but his shot came off the goalpost.

Sepahan stay on top of the group with seven points out of three games.
