PFDC - TEHRAN, Iranian football federation (IFF) president Ali Kafashian had vowed his full support for Carlos Queiroz after the shocking 0-1 defeat in a World Cup qualifier in Lebanon.

Kafashian told reporters despite the first ever loss of an Iranian team to Lebanon, IFF is planning with Queiroz until the end of his contract in 2014 and will fully support the Portugese.

However, Queiroz will be asked to meet with the IFF's top officials to analyze the current situation as soon as he returns to Tehran.

Meanwhile Queiroz himself congratulated Lebanon on the win but also expressed his disappointment about the result he considers undeserved.

"We controlled the game and pressured the opposition for the whole 90 minutes and created many good chances, but their goalkeeper was magnificent", Queiroz said.

"They scored from their only chance of the game, this happens in football sometimes.

"We were missing seven important players and played against a side which was constantly wasting time", the former Real Madrid boss explained, also expressing his disappointment of time wasting habits in Asian football in general and the inability of the officials to do anything about it.

Queiroz, who had already critisiced the horrible pitch conditions ahead of the game, also admitted the situation for Team Melli is complicated now, despite still occupying the second position of the table after three rounds.

"There are three teams with three points behind South Korea now. And then there is Uzbekistan, who have often proved to be a very strong side, with two points.

"We always knew there is a long and hard way ahead of us", Queiroz concluded.
