TEHRANTIMES - Iraqi international striker Emad Mohammad Ridha penned a new contract with Esteghlal of Iran on Sunday.


The 30-year-old player joined the Iranian popular football team for an undisclosed fee until the end of the season.

Esteghlal General Manager Ali Fatollahzadeh travelled to Iraqi city of Karbala and negotiated with the player’s agent.

Emad Ridha has already played in the Iranian football teams namely, Foolad, Sepahan and Shahin of Bushehr.

He has made 103 appearances for Iraq national team and scored 28 goals.

Emad Mohammad Ridha has worked under Esteghlal current coach Amir Ghalenoei in Sepahan.

The Iraqi striker will participate in Esteghlal’s training next week.
