TEHRANTIMES - Persepolis football team reached the Iran’s Hazfi Cup quarter-finals as they beat Naft 4-1 on Tuesday.


Persepolis came from a goal down to beat Naft 4-1 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Amin Manouchehri scored for Naft in the 14th minute but Mohammad Nouri equalized the match in the 27th minute. Nouri scored once again in the 58th minute.

Hossein Mahini extended Persepolis’s lead from the penalty spot in the 75th minute after was brought down by Naft keeper in the penalty area.

With five minutes remaining, Hadi Norouzi rubbed salt in their wounds, chipping the ball over the Naft keeper.

Persepolis will face Zob Ahan in the quarter-finals round.
