Saipa Contract

PLDC - Karaj, Hossein Khoshnazar has suggested that all of Iran's clubs come together and enforce a 200 million Toman salary cap.

Saipa's caretaker said, "We weren't able to sign any new players during the mid-season transfer window. Some players demanded 700 million to one billion Toman contracts. I don't know the method of measuring how much pay a player deserves. On what basis do players deserve several hundred million (Toman) salaries?"

He continued, "A player must be payed based on his technical capabilities. I don't understand how a player who has only played four games for his team in the first half of the season demands 600 million Tomans."

Khoshnazar suggested, "We must (as club managers) come together and enforce a salary cap. What will happen if we all come together and say that no player shall be payed more than 200 million Tomans? Will the players have a choice but to accept this idea? Besides, if they don't want to play, no problem, because a new generation of footballers will then take over."
