PLDC - IFF spokesperson claimed no knowledge of a meeting between Parvin and Dadkan but said that IFF has plans to use Parvin in the future.

GholamHussain Zamanabadi, the Iranian Football Federation's spokesperson told reporters: "There has not been a official meeting between Parvin and IFF regarding his possible take over of the technical director post of the Olympic team, but IFF is interested to take advantage of Mr. Parvin's experience and management skills at national level but we have not yet received a positive reply from Parvin."

Also in regards to the possibility of a friendly between Iran and Argentina, the spokesperson told reporters: "After the Bam earthquake we asked FIFA that we are willing to host friendlies with countries that are willing to come to Iran and play, but we have not yet received any news regarding Argentina's interest to come and play in Iran."

IFF spokesperson continued: "Our goal is to use the best possible resources that are available to us and in addition to hiring Dr. ZolfagharNassab and Mr. Talebi as national team technical advisers, we are also looking in to hire a few foreign advisers.

We have to accept the fact that football is a western game and we have to use the outside knowledge in order to improve our football status."

Another issue that Mr. Zamani touched on was regarding the IPL and the Hazfi Cup schedule which he said: "IFF has decided that by the end of the next month the remaining 6 weeks of IPL schedule will be out and also for teams that are involved in the Hazfi cup as well, there are plans to make sure all the teams can participate in both competitions with the least amount of schedule conflict.
