MNA – The capital’s old popular club Persepolis received the green light to sell its shares to the private sector, announced Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO) spokesman here Sunday.

Talking to reporters, Issa Es’haqi added the PEO head Mohsen Mehralizadeh fulfilled his promise due to his serious follow-up and the shares of Persepolis Cultural-Sports Club will be completely sold to the private sector.

The cabinet has given the authority to the club, said the spokesman adding, “This is the best gift for Persepolis fans as it is the first Iranian club, which is privatized and will have no financial problems in the future.”
