sportinglife - Kaiserslautern will be hoping to maintain their Bundesliga status in the final two weeks of the season as they build for the future with several new acquisitions.

Having revealed a deal to bring Carsten Jancker from Udinese in the summer - on the condition that the club remain in the top flight - 'Lautern have announced two further transfers for the new season.

Trainer Kurt Jara has been busy watching new players and agreed a deal with second division side VfB Lubeck about a transfer of Ferydoon Zandi.

The 25-year-old striker will also only join Kaiserslautern if they remain in the Bundesliga and sign a two-year deal in the summer.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old midfielder Mihael Mikic will move to the club from Dynamo Zagreb whatever league they play in next season after penning a two-year deal.

And with Miroslav Klose destined for newly-crowned champions Werder Bremen, Jara has therefore found two replacements within 24 hours to help bolster his attack for the new campaign.
