Berlin - Iranian striker Vahid Hashemian has ruled out early contract extension talks with VFL Bochum, the Kicker sports magazine quoted him as saying Monday.

"At the moment it's not worth considering. I am also not thinking about other clubs, I am having a wait-and-see attitude with regards to my own development," said Hashemian whose current contract runs until 2005.

Bochum officials have indicated their interest in an early contract extension, given Hashemian's superb performance in the first half of the Bundesliga season during which the ex-Pas player scored 11 goals in 17 matches.

German media reports had earlier linked the ex-Pas player to fellow German first division football club VFB Stuttgart.

Hashemian's transfer fee is reportedly estimated at around 3 million euro. The speedy striker, nicknamed 'the helicopter', is presently ranked third in the Bundesliga scoring table.
