ATHENS2004- The Ukraine celebrated their second win by beating Iran 6-2 for Group A of the Paralympic 7-a-side Football Tournament. The Ukrainian team scored six goals for the second consecutice match and has produced 12 so far in the Tournament. Iran suffered their first loss, after they drew 2-2 with Argentina in their opening match. Taras DUTKO (UKR) scored a hat-trick, while Volodymyr KABANOV (UKR) scored twice and Volodymyr ANTONYUK (UKR) once. Houshang KHOSRAVANI scored both goals gor Iran.

The Ukraine scored two goals in two minutes, in the 17th and in the 19th. The first goal was scored by DUTKO with a header and the second one by KABANOV, with a shot outside the penalty box.

The Iranians managed to equalise before the break in the same way: scoring twice in two minutes; in the 28th minute KHOSRAVANI found the net with a direct free kick and in the 30th minute he levelled the score with a diagonal shot.

The Ukraine took the lead again in the 35th minute with DUTKO, while in the 38th ANTONYUK scored once more for the silver medalists of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.

In the 41st minute, KABANOV scored his second goal and fifth for the Ukrainian team in the match, after a cross by Vitaliy TRUSHEV from the right.

Abdolreza KERIMIZADEH (IRI) headed the ball to the left post in the 43rd minute, while and the final result was decided in the 47th minute by DUTKO, who scored his third goal in the match and fifth in the Tournament.

On the third day of Group A, the Ukraine will face Argentina and Iran will play against Ireland on Thursday, 22 September.
