Iran, Ivory Coast Friendly Called Off

Tasnim - A planned friendly match between Iran national football team and Ivory Coast was cancelled.

The match was supposed to be played during Team Melli’s training camp in Dubai, the UAE.

Carlos Queiroz’s men are scheduled to face Morocco in Dubai on January 6, Alyaoum24 reported.

Iran prepares for a match against Qatar in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification scheduled for March 23.

Iran tops Group A with 11 points, followed by South Korea and Uzbekistan.

The Morocco national football team, nicknamed the Atlas Lions, will also meet Finland in Dubai as part of its preparation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Gabon from January 14 to February 5.
