Reports in the Bosnian newspaper Dnevni Avaz revealed that Blazevic is not eager to extend his deal with the Iranians although a lucrative US$4 million offer had been tabled. Blazevic cited family issues major reason for his decision, and went on to explain that IFF chief Safaei Farahani had betrayed him. The Croatian had been accused by Farahani of playing an important role in Iran defender Rahman Rezaei's deal with Italian Serie A side Perugia, an accusation that the coach had firmly denied. "Safaei Farahani has betrayed me," said Blazevic. "I was his employee and he should have supported me, which he never did. The Federation owes me US$18,000, which I haven't even bothered about. "The Iranians have accused me of being a middleman in the Rahman Rezaei transfer deal. I done't need a meagre US$50,000. I have US$1.5 million in my personal account." |
