Gholamreza Rezaei

PLDC- Tehran, Gholamreza Rezaei said, "It is no longer possible for me to play in Persepolis. But one day I will play for Daei again."

The Persepolis forward said, "Because of certain issues, it is very hard or you might even say impossible, for me to stay in Persepolis. But don't get my words twisted, because I don't mean that I am scared of competition. In fact, I love competition... This season is the season before the World Cup, and I will indicate which club I will be transferring to very soon."

Rezaei noted, "I must thank Ali Daei for his goodwill and understanding. I spoke to him about my situation and he dealt with it very logically and politely. I owe a lot of my success to Persepolis and Daei, and I have always been honest and I have never tried to criticize anyone in a insidious manner. I hope I have the consent of Persepolis fans."

He emphasized, "My separation from Persepolis in the mid-season break is certain, but I will one day be Daei's pupil again. I don't have a problem or dispute with anyone, but its hard for me to stay with the club. I have had my ups and downs with Persepolis, but I have always gave it my all when wearing a red jersey. During my service at Persepolis I was insulted and heard many unfair comments but continued doing my job."

Rezaei concluded, "I don't want to end my career thinking that I could have had more impact at another club. Again, I will repeat that I am not afraid of competition, and I am only leaving Persepolis for my football career and a chance to be part of the World Cup squad."
