Mayeli Kohan elected as Olympic coach!

PFDC - It was announced today that the former Iran coach, Mohammad Mayeli Kohan has been elected as the head coach for the Iranian Olympic team for the Athens 2004.

Fathollahzadeh: "we have not Talked to Jalal Talebi. we still believe in our technical staff."

PLDC - Rejecting any kind of talk with Talebi ,Fathollahzadeh said to reporters: "Esteghlal club has trust in its coaches and their performance. Due to unwillingness of changing them ,we have not talked to any other coach.  He added:"If Talebi has talked to any official of Esteghlal club ,he can announce it so that we can also be informed."

Perspolis will camp for the Asian club championship starting Thursday

PLDC - Perspolis Football team will start its preparations for the Asian Club Championship most probably starting on Thursday in order to make an impressive appearance in the games.

Perspolis's friendly match against the Algerian national team is cancelled. Al-Merikh of Sudan will replace Algeria.

PLDC - According to negotiations with the Algerian Football Federation, this country's national football team was scheduled to come to Iran and play a friendly against Perspolis football club, but due to the unstable conditions of the Middle East, the Algerians have cancelled their trip.

Persepolis, Paykan Tie

TEHRAN - Persepolis Sunday fought back to tie Paykan in the 15th week of Iran Pro League and Malavan defeated visitor Pas. Playing on the muddy pitch of Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, Persepolis shared the points with Paykan as the match ended 1-1.

30 players called up for New Zealand encounter

IRNA - Esteqlal of Tehran overcame the Abadani side, San'at Naft, in a 15th-week match of Iran Pro League (IPL) here on Friday. Playing on the uneven pitch of Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, the blues managed to defeat Naft 1-0. Midfielder Farzad Majidi scored the sole goal of Esteqlal in the 17th minute.
