Tehran Times - Iranian international midfielder Masoud Shojaei has been linked with a move to Greek side AEK, according to the Greek media reports.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined Panionios in July 2016 and scored four goals in his first season in the team.

Now, AEK Athens are interested in signing the player during the January transfer window.

Shojaei had previously played five years for Spanish side Osasuna scoring 8 goals in 101 appearances.

Shojaei, who has also played for Las Palmas in Segunda division, passed the last two years at Qatar Stars League playing for Al Shahania and Al Gharafa.

He has represented his country in two World Cups and three Asian Cups. He has scored eight goals in 70 caps for Iran.
