PFDC - KOBLENZ, 2nd Bundesliga division side TuS Koblenz have snapped up Fereydoon Zandi on a free transfer.

The Iranian international has signed a one-year contract with the German club.

Coach Milan Sasic was pleased to bring in some cover for his midfield.
"He brings what I was missing in the last months" Sasic said.

The 27-year-old has been without a club in the last three months. He admited that he is not at the top of his physical shape at the moment, but he is determined to work hard to catch up and regain his full fitness.

Koblenz's new signing is expected to start training with his new club next tuesday.
Zandi, who was part of Iran's squad during the 2006 World Cup, spent the last two seasons at FC Kaiserslautren, appearing in 55 Bundesliga games ( 6 goals and 8 assists).
