PTV - Iran's national soccer team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Qatar after the Iran-Kuwait friendly was canceled by FIFA.

"The Iranian squad will clash with Qatar in Doha on November 9," said Iranian Football Federation (IFF) Deputy President Mehdi Taj on Wednesday.

"In a letter to the IFF, FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, asked Iran to respect FIFA's Executive Committee decision and cancel the friendly game against Kuwait on November 14," he added.

The world soccer's governing body, FIFA, suspended the Kuwait Football Association after a long-standing dispute over the management of the association.

According to Taj, the Iranian outfit is likely to hold a 5-day training camp in Qatar to adapt itself to the weather conditions to prepare for the UAE match in its next 2010 World Cup qualifier on November 19.

Iran is drawn in Group B of the final Asian qualifying round, competing with Saudi Arabia, North Korea, the UAE and South Korea.
