PTV – The Iranian national soccer team has lost 2-0 to Germany's Hansa Rostock in Tehran in the team's first friendly match in six months.

Tobias Rathgeb opened the scoring for Hansa in the 36th minute at Tehran's Azadi stadium, which saw only an attendance of about 2000 fans.

Dordije Cetkovic scored the visitors' second goal in the 64th minute to secure an easy victory over Iran, who seemed not in good form as Mehdi Mahdavikia, Vahid Hashemian, Fereidoun Zandi and Rahman Rezaei had not accompanied the Iranian squad.

Hansa Rostock currently ranks 15th in the Bundesliga table.

The Iranian national team is scheduled to play in four other friendly matches against Qatar, Mali, Tunisia and Costa Rica ahead of the February 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
