Park was the assistant to Dutchman Guus Hiddink, who guided South Korea to fourth place in the World Cup this year. After the World Cup, Hiddink returned to his homeland to coach PSV Eindhoven but has signed a contract with the Korea Football Association (KFA), to serve as a technical adviser to the national team for two years.
