GOAL – Jorvan Vieira has left the Iranian club just days after agreeing to take charge of the team.

The former Iraq coach, made his name by guiding them to the Asian Cup 2007 title in July, had initially inked an 18 month deal to take charge of Mes on Wednesday.

He was to replace the previous coach, Farhad Kazemi, who left to join first division side Estil Azin earlier this week.

The Brazilian, however, has parted company with Mes just days after taking charge of the team.

An official announcement was made by the club on Friday - saying that the contract has been terminated due to financial reasons.

Since acheiving overnight success with Iraq, the 54-year-old has been linked with several jobs in Asia.

He was reportedly considered for the vacant Australia coaching post. But, nothing came out of the speculation as the Socceroos appointed Dutchman Pim Verbeek.

Mes will now have to look for a new coach to take charge of their team.

They are currently 14th in the 18-team Iran Pro League.
