MNA - In a weak performance on Saturday the match between Bargh of Shiraz and Persepolis ended in a draw at the Hafezieh Stadium in Shiraz.

In the 28th week of the Iran Professional League, Persepolis football team was held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Bargh of Shiraz.

The visitors went ahead in the 27th minute when Maziar Zare scored from the penalty spot. Just before the interval, Bargh’s captain Sattar Zare equalized the match from the penalty spot.

Neither team was able to score in the second half and had a substandard performance.

Armin Honarvari was sent off by referee Alborz Hajipour with two minutes remaining, however Persepolis could not to take advantage of this at all.

Persepolis remains third in the rankings with 48 points behind Esteghlal with 53 and Zob Ahan with 50.

Bargh sits 16th with one point clear of the IPL drop zone.
