Sportinglife - Bayern Munich may have signed one Iranian with the arrival of Ali Karimi from Al-Ahly Dubai last week but his compatriot Vahid Hashemian looks to be on his way out of the club after just one season.

The 28-year-old striker arrived in Munich in the summer, signing a three-year deal, after rising to prominence in the Bochum side which stormed into the UEFA Cup last season.

But his fortunes have dipped with only eight appearances for Bayern all season.

Now the former Hamburg forward looks set to join Hannover with Bayern prepared to take a cut-price fee to reduce their squad this summer, despite paying 2million euros (?1.4m) for his services last May.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that both sides had reached an agreement over a fee with Hashemian due in Lower Saxony this week to agree on a contract.
