Sardar Azmoun - Dejagah

AAP - Iran internationals Ashkan Dejagah and Sardar Azmoun are reportedly to be summoned before the ethics commission of the nation's governing body FFI, because their tattoos are against Islamic values.

News reports on Monday said that Dejagah, who plays at Qatar's A-Arabi, and Rostov's Azmoun, will have to report to the commission after Iran's FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifier against India in Bangalore.

They reportedly face a suspension or a fine, and commission chief Ali Akbar Mohammedsadeh was quoted as saying that they must play in long sleeved shirts in the future.

The FFI ethics commission dismisses tattoos and extravagant hairstyles as "western cultural invasion" and as not conforming with Islamic values.

As a result, national team footballers are not supposed to wearsuch styles because they are role models.
