Tasnim - Persepolis football team defeated Tractor Sazi 1-0 in the seventh week of the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.

Honduran striker Jerry Bengtson scored Persepolis's only goal in the 72nd minute from penalty spot.

In Tehran's Azadi Stadium, IPL leader Esteghlal was held to a 3-3 draw against 10-man Rah Ahan.

Bahador Abdi gave a lead to Rah Ahan in the 12th minute.

Sebastian Strandvall made it 2-0 from the penalty spot ten minutes later.

Omid Ebrahimi pulled a goal back in the 37th minute after the referee showed the penalty spot.

In the first half's injury time, Rah Ahan goalie Sebastian Strandvall was sent aff after elbowing the Esteghlal player.

Ebrahimi scored again from the spot.

10-man Rah Ahan returned to the match in the 52nd minute after Farshad Faraji found the back of the net but Arash Borhani equalied the match one minute later.

Also, Malavan and Padideh played out a goalless draw.

Esteghlal stayed top of the table with 16 points, followed by Sepahan and Esteghlal Khuzestan.
