PLDC - After the match between Persepolis and Saipa, in the third week of the Iranian Professional League, which ended with the 1-1 draw, Naser Ebrahimi, Assistant coach of the club commented, “Any team which faces
Persepolis has strong motivation and gives the game everything to win. We too like the League matches to be played in this way.”

“In the first half the game was balanced and when in the second half we saw the method Saipa was using against us, we added to our strikers. The game was in our hands in the second half but unfortunately we could
not get results. We are dissatisfied with the team as they did not come up to our expectations.”

“I don’t think the refereeing of the match had any problems but the time when the ball hit the hand of the Saipa player should have been counted as a penalty. Unfortunately the league has arranged one match every four days for us and we are driven to the limits to shape up the team in such short spells of time. The Elimination Cup schedule has not been announced to us as yet either. With that and the intensive program of the games, we will not be able to show our real selves and we will naturally have problems. I hope we can present a good game on Tuesday, 5/11/2002, against Zob Ahan.”
