Tehran Times - Zob Ahan football team has reached Iran’s Hazfi Cup last four after beating Gostaresh Foolad 2-0 in Tabriz on Wednesday.
Mehdi Rajabzadeh opened the scoring for the visiting team in the 76th minute while Ehsan Pahlevan made it double five minutes later.
Earlier on Tuesday, Naft Tehran, Sepahan and Tractor Sazi had booked their places in the tournament’s semi-final.
Zob Ahan will next meet Tractor Sazi while Sepahan play Naft Tehran in another semi-final clash.
Holder Zob Ahan has won the tournament four times. It finished runner-up once in 2001 when the team lost 3-1 on aggregate to Fajr Sepasi.
