As for Cambodia’s general manager Keisuke Honda, he took his loss positive. But he said that his players lack fitness and stamina.

“I think for me the biggest difference is power and physicality’’, said the Japanese former AC Milan midfielder. How can we [match] them? Is it playing one on one or do we pass and move? Especially when we’re tired. When [we] weren’t tired we played well and didn’t make many mistakes. But little by little, when you get tired your brain doesn’t work. After getting the ball you’re already tired – your brain doesn’t work. So other players can’t support [and get] in the right position.”

‘’We shouldn’t give up for you and your future and for the future of the Cambodian national team, said Honda. If I chose tactics like the long ball, maybe it would have been 4-0 or 5-0 because I can tell you to kick the ball [long] and don’t run, don’t get tired. Don’t spend your energy on attacking.”

“But why 14-0, because you spend your energy attack. When we pass and when me make mistake, you are tired and they have space behind us and they like to counter. It’s their strength. So we lost 14-0 and this is good to know where we are.”
