PLDC - The Colombian Football Federation (CFF) executives will travel to Dubai, the UAE in the coming days to personally talk to Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz.
According to the Colombian media, the Iran current coach has reached an agreement with Colombia to take charge of Tricolor.
One of the CFF officials said that they will not hide their interest in hiring Carlos Queiroz. But they have to wait because they have negotiated with six other coaches.
CFF will announce the name of the new head coach until February, the official added.
CFF officials held talks with Queiroz during the Libertadores final match between River Plate and Boca Juniors in early December.
However, RCN Radio says Queiroz is the only option to take charge of Colombia.
The Colombian football federation is waiting for the Portuguese coach for more weeks since he is under contract with Iran football federation until the end of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup underway in the UAE.
Team Melli is favorite to win the title after 43 years.
