MNA - Ali Parvin was named as sporting director of Persepolis football team on Monday.

Persepolis general manager Mohammad Ruyanian appointed Parvin as sporting director of the team with a purpose of improvement in the Iranian Professional League.
Persepolis has suffered four defeats in the last 10 matches and is 10th in the standings table.

“I want to help the team to get back on track. First of all, our players must work together to have a successful team,” Parvin said.

He added, “We have been unlucky up to now but surely we can be back on track. I want to be the person who the Persepolis fans are looking for.”

Parvin is the Persepolis’s most decorated member as a player and coach.

The 65-year-old inspired Persepolis to win the championship of the first edition of the Iranian Professional League as coach. Parvin also led Iran national football team to win the Asian Games in 1990 in Beijing.
