Bahrain Football Federation urges development of ties with Iranian federation According to report by Bahrain News Agency, it is ready to promote cooperation in all fields based on mutual respect.
Mutual cooperation is in the interest of both countries’ football, the federation said, adding that it is ready to hold a match with Iran's team on October 11 within the framework of World Cup Preliminary Contests.
The federation is also ready to host friendly country’s succor team on November 11.
Stating that political issues should not be mingled with sports, the statement noted that sports will help remove disputes and promote bilateral ties.
Sports can serve as a peace and friendship envoy between the two nations.
