Tehran Times - Esteghlal midfielder Rouzbeh Cheshmi has reached agreement with Iran Professional League side Saba and attended in their training on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old, who left out Esteghlal squad in the first half of the season due to injury, couldn’t sign a new contract with the Blues because of the club’s transfer ban.

He decided to join his former club where he made a name for himself until the end of season.

Cheshmi started his professional career with Persepolis youth in 2013 as a center back. Later in 2013 he joined Saba in order to get more playing time.

During his two-year spell at Saba, Cheshmi was invited to Iran U23 team and became the team’s captain.

In the summer of 2015, Cheshmi signed for Esteghlal but an ACL injury midway through the 2015-16 season forced him a long layoff.
