PFDC - Hamburg's gifted right winger Mehdi Mahdavikia will appear for the 100th time in German Bundesliga against Bielefeld on Saturday. The runs and dribblings of the Iranian, who has played a superb season so far, always tear the people out of their seats in the AOL Arena. Next week Mahdavikia's advisor Reza Fazeli will meet HSV manager Dietmar Beiersdorfer in Hamburg.

Hamburg is eager to extend the 25-year-old's contract, which is due to expire in 2004, but Mahdavikia has already been linked to several English Premier League clubs, including mighty Manchester United. But before that, he will play his 100th game against Bielefeld on Sunday.

The comparison of his first 100 Games with the statistics of other star players in the league, proves Mahdavikia's dominance. In 99 games he assisted 36 goals. Mario Basler assisted 33 in his first 100, Bayern's Mehmet Scholl 32, Brazilian international Ze Roberto 30 and Stefan Effenberg 28 after his return from Italy.
