PLDC - Despite all promises, Perspolis does not yet have a decent practice field, and player’s last month’s salaries have not yet been paid.
Minavand told the new channel reporter: “I came back to Iran only to help Perspolis, but unfortunately because of the manager’s under-performance, I was not able to play with the team in Tashkand. If I had played for Perspolis there, Perspolis would have paid Al-Shabab $30,000”.
In regards to playing for Perspolis in the pro league, he said: “ My contract with Perspolis should have been signed more than a months ago, but I was not aware of that fact only days before our game against Abomuslem, and so I went to the federation and signed my contract a few days ago, and according to the league regulations, the players will be eligible to play 14 days after they have signed in the mid-season.”
He continued: “I have to go back to UAE after 4 months, since I still have a year left of my contract with Al-shabab and Perspolis can not have me for longer than 4 months because they cannot pay the $500,000 that is the amount left on my contract whit Al-shabab.”
In conclusion, Minavand talked about Perspolis’s recent results and Schmitd as their coach, and said: “Prior to this point, Perspolis practiced 3-4 times a week, but since Schimtd took over, we have been practicing seven days a week, which has allowed the players to concentrate on football only, and avoid side issues. That’s one reason why we got satisfactory results against Abomuslem and Saipa.”
