PLDC – Persepolis football team will face its arch-rival Esteghlal in Iranian Super Cup.
The match has been scheduled to take place on July 20 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Persepolis is titleholder after the Reds defeated Naft Tehran 3-0 in the third edition on July 21, 2017.
The Iranian Super Cup is an Iranian association football trophy awarded to the winner of a match between the Persian Gulf Pro League's season champion and the winner of the Hazfi Cup. It is similar to numerous other Super Cup tournaments held in other countries.
The first edition was held in 2005, where Hazfi Cup champion Saba Battery defeated league champion Foolad 4–0.
Zob Ahan claimed the second edition, defeating Esteghlal Khuzestan 4-2 in 2016.
