PLDC - Iran’s Super Cup between Persepolis and Esteghlal football teams has been reportedly called off.
The Iran Football League Organization has decided to postpone the match, local media reported.
The match was originally scheduled for July 20 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Tehran but Esteghlal announced they would not participate in the match.
Esteghlal is currently holding a camp in Turkey ahead of new season of Iran Professional League.
Persepolis has won Iran Professional League last season, while Esteghlal claimed Hazfi Cup.
The Iran Super Cup is regarded as the curtain raiser for a new league campaign since the competition's creation in 2005.
