Tehran Times - Esteghlal suffered a severe blow to their chances of beating Persepolis in Tehran derby after Vouria Ghafouri was ruled out on the eve of the clash.
He suffered a hamstring injury in the match against Al Ain of the UAE in AFC Champions League in mid-March.
Ghfouri, who scored his team’s winner in the derby last year, is not fully recovered for this match. Esteghlal forward Allahyar Sayyadmanesh will also miss the match due to injury.
Persepolis defender Shayan Mosleh will miss the clash against Esteghlal in Tehran derby.
Mosleh, one of Persepolis’s iconic defenders, will miss the crucial match due to a foot injury.
The derby will be held on Saturday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
