PLDC – Iranian international forward Karim Ansarifard joined Qatari football club Al-Sailiya.
Al-Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi had offered the Qatari team’s officials to hire the 29-year-old forward.
Ansarifard had joined Nottingham Forest from Greek giant Olympiakos last year.
Announcing Ansarifard’s arrival, Al-Sailiya said the move came after a “period of negotiations”.
They added: “The player was hired on the recommendations of team coach Sami Trabelsi, who sees the right player for the team and (who) is able to provide the strong technical addition in the line of the attack in the new season.”
He has penned a two-year contract with Al-Sailiya.
Ansarifard leaves the English Championship side to sign for the Qatar side after just one season, during which he made twelve appearances and scored two goals.
Al-Sailiya Sports Club is a Qatari professional football club currently competing in the Qatar Stars League.
The team is based in Doha and play their home games at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
