IRNA - Mohammad-Hassan Ansarifard, head coach of Iran's national futsal team, said Friday that Iran has more to say in world's futsal rather than football but the current problems have made it impossible.
The national manager, who was in Rasht to watch the final of Iran's Youth Futsal Championships added: "A futsal player's income is much lower than a footballer's and an indoor footballer is not much encouraged by the sports officials."
Motive has not been established in this sporting field because the state TV and radio (IRIB) and other media do not do promotion, said Ansarifard adding that Iran can be among the top futsal teams of the world if investment is made appropriately.
According to the head coach, Iran will play two friendlies against the national futsal side of Italy in Tehran on January 12.
