PLDC - With the going away of Branco Ivancovic, head coach of the Iranian National Team, another choice must be found to replace him. One obvious selection is the successful Croat head coach of Foolad Khouzestan, Vingo Begovic, who has so far performed well in his club and has also trained a number of the National Team players.

In a short interview with the press and media Begovic spoke about the Iranian Professional League and other matters, “I have always told my boys that all the League games are tough. Yesterday, I told some of the boys that if they wanted to be taken seriously, they had to think professionally and had to step onto the field with the thought of victory. We have to be very serious, play in the best way and get results in that order.”

“I have heard rumors about the possibility of my becoming head coach of the National Team and I am proud of myself. I thank all the people who
believe in me and trust me. So far though no one in the Federation has made any suggestions to me and it’s all been written in the papers. Of
course, I believe in myself and if I do become the head coach of the National Team, I’ll do my best and I’ll be glad to accept the post.”
