Tehran Times - Iranian international winger Jahanbakhsh has been chosen in the Eredivisie first half of the season 2017-18 team.

The 25-year-old player, who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar, has seven goals and six assists in 17 matches.

Jahanbakhsh will be one of Team Melli members in the 2018 World Cup, where the Iranian national football team have been drawn along with Spain, Portugal and Morocco in Group B.

Jahanbakhsh joined Dutch Eredivisie outfit NEC for a three-year deal in 2013 and penned a five-year contract with AZ after two years.

After leading AZ to the Dutch Cup Final this season, he was linked with Scottish champions Celtic, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and English Premier League sides Burnley, Watford and Bournemouth.

Jahanbakhsh had been chosen as the best winger of the 2016–17 season in the Dutch League.
