PLDC – Ali Karimi has stepped down as owner of Iranian football club Sepidrood on Sunday.
The former Iran national football team and Bayern Munich midfielder currently is owner and head coach of the top-flight team.
Karimi has sent his resignation to General Manager of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of Gilan Province Maryam Bakhshi.
Karimi started his work with Sepidrood as a head coach last season but was forced to leave the team after having problem with Javad Tanzadeh as the owner of the club.
Karimi purchased the shares of the club at the start of the new Iran Professional League season and also works in the team as a head coach.
Sepidrood is struggling in the new season and sits five points above the relegation zone.
