PLDC - Russian Premier League table-topper Zenit St Petersburg defeated Orenburg 3-1 thanks to a brace from Iranian international Sardar Azmoun on Sunday.
Alekesi Sutormin gave the visiting team the lead in the 33rd minute but Azmoun equalized the match in the 48th minute at the Kirov Stadium in St Petersburg.
Yaroslav Rakitskiy extended Zenit’s lead in the 81st and Azmoun completed his brace with two minutes remaining.
Zenit St Petersburg sits top of the Russian Premier League standing with 44 points, six points above Lokomotiv Moscow.
